“MikroPlace” V1.0 Software package for automated Lay-up creating and AFP Process simulation

  • Fully NURBS based environment - based on a robust industry standard geometric kernel
  • Manage sessions & part models
    • Import of models from popular CAD such as CATIA, SolidWorks, Pro/Engineer, IGES and many others
    • Create new work sessions or load existing ones - your current work can always be saved
  • Layup
    • Build custom ply definitions or use existing objects to define them
    • Use different strategies to achieve desired ply layup
      • Constant angle - cover a part with course and maintain a given angle over the part
      • Parallel curve - define a custom curve over a surface, and generate courses in parallel to the original curve
      • Laminate family ply - lay courses at an angle relative to the direction of force defined on the part
    • Each strategy allows for extensive parameterization through
      • Tow gap/overlap
      • Location to start
      • Course gap
    • Define sequence of layup of each course on a ply and direction
    • Manage a set of plies and define their order
  • Analysis
    • Give visual indication of where problematic course exist
    • Based on machine limits, indicate where problems exist for layup
    • Total production cost and time estimate
  • Post-processing & simulation
    • Define strategy between course layup, such as a safety plane
    • Generate and view complete machine path
    • Allow process parameters modifications at any point on path
    • Generate ISO G-Code for a specific AFP machine
